Cake!

Dessurt, Uncategorized

Hello! Today I am going to share my latest cake that I have made. This is my first 4-H cake. This year for 4-H I am doing the level two in cake decorating, and in this step in I am supposed to use a star tip, leaf tip, and round tip, which you will see on the cake. I am also learning to use a coupler which helps to change tips using the same color. This time instead of using boxed cake, this one is totally homemade. It’s flavor in vanilla bean, which means I got to experience with vanilla beans for the first time! Here is the RECIPE I used. I didn’t use the frosting recipe that came with the cake recipe. Instead I used one from my book. Now for my cake:

What do you think of the cake? What kind of tips do you like to use?

Thin Mint Brownies

Uncategorized

Hey guys! Tis’ the season for Girl scout cookies! 😀 Today I am going to tell ya’ll how to make Thin mint brownies! There are many ways to do this, but my way is unique because this has never been done before! And guess what? They can also be made totally allergen free.

Here is the recipe:

For the bottom layer:

  • 1 box of Thin Mint cookies except 2
  • 5 Tbsp of butter

For the middle layer:

  • Your favorite brownie recipe ( I use this recipe: GF brownie recipe. )
  • 1/2 C. chocolate chips

For the top layer:

  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 C. powdered sugar
  • 1 drop of blue coloring and 2 drops of yellow coloring
  • 1 tsp. mint extract
  • 2 Thin Mints

Instructions

Bottom layer:

Crush up the cookies in a large plastic bag until they reach the consistency of sand. Next, melt the butter and mix it into the Thin mints. Press this mixture into the bottom of your brownie baking dish and let harden in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.

Middle layer:

All you have to do for this layer is, whip up your brownie recipe, fold in the chocolate chips, and then pour the batter into your brownie baking dish with the Thin Mints and bake for as long and needed.

Top layer:

Before making this layer make sure to let your brownies cool before adding this on top. First, cream the butter in a stand mixer or with a hand mixer. Then, add the powdered sugar little by little, once it’s all added pour in a tablespoon of milk; this should all be happening while the mixer is running. Add in all of the other ingredients and whip until fluffy. You may need more powdered sugar or mild depending on how you want the consistency of your frosting. Then all that left to do is pour the frosting on top of the brownies, smooth it out, and crush up those extra Thin Mints you saved and sprinkle them on top. And, of course, eat them! Enjoy!

Here are some pictures of my brownies:

Note: If you have an allergy to Gluten, Dairy, or Nut allergy, these can totally be made allergen free! The Thin mints are already Vegan ( meaning no allergens ), so all you have to do is tweak the recipe a bit. Add shortening instead of butter, use a gluten free brownie recipe, and Df chocolate chips.

Thanks for reading! I hope you get to try this recipe sometime!

S’mores cups

Dessurt, Snacks, Uncategorized

Hey everyone! Today I have decided to share with you one of my favorite recipes of all time, S’mores cups! These cups are so fluffy, rich, and yummy! This recipe that I used was awesome, and exactly how I wanted the s’mores cups to turn out! Click HERE for the recipe. Instead of using Hershey’s chocolate I just used chocolate chips and they worked just fine. If you want to use pre-made marshmallow fluff, that’s totally okay. But trust me, homemade marshmallow fluff is the best! And lastly, if you are able to, blowtorch the top of your marshmallow fluff ( sadly I could not 😦 ). It makes them have that crisp crust like a real marshmallow dose when you roast it.

And now for some pictures:

Have a nice day, and make sure to check out my new BLOG, it has a lot of cool pictures and artwork of mine. 🙂

Cupcake Craze

Dessurt, Uncategorized

Hi everyone! Today I am super excited to share the two cupcakes that I have made in the past few weeks.

Here are the pictures:

This first one is a vanilla cupcake, with lime curd filling, and a lime frosting. I got this recipe from an all about cupcakes book.

This one was whipped up quick for a party we had, it doesn’t look as good as it could look, because the frosting was not cooperating. But it was still tasty. This one is a chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting. And then some Sixlets on top. The cupcakes are both Gf and Df. Except for the curd had some butter in it.

So, I recently made a new blog for sharing pictures. I would love for you to follow if you would like.

Lemon pound cake

Uncategorized

Hey guys! Just a few days ago I made a copycat of the Starbucks lemon pound cake. The fluffiest pound cake I ever tasted was the Starbucks kind, so I thought well, lets make some, and let’s make it as fluffy as the Starbucks cake. Well, I did find a recipe and made it, but it didn’t turn out as fluffy as the Starbucks one because I didn’t have any sour cream to add. 😦 But it was super good and tasted like lemon! When using this recipe I would definitely advise using sour cream ;).  Here is the link to the recipe: https://www.lovefromtheoven.com/starbucks-lemon-loaf-copy-cat/

This is definitely a perfect recipe for Thanksgiving; or just a good recipe to eat in general. xD It is a tart! :D. I don’t have any pictures of it but here’s kinda what it looked like:
